It was perfect in general: functional room, absolutely perfect location just off the center of town, a palace like house, and a temple. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was savoury and enjoyable and there was a wide array of food. Very attentive staff ensured a very nice stay on vacation. 1 mile to Jimmy John's.

Garden view terrace was a lovely spot to sip on my pre-dinner G&T while scrolling through Insta with their free WiFi. And hey, they also had bikes for hire - in case you wanted to conquer Bali on two wheels!
No fridge in the room? How dare they deprive me of a place to stash my Prosecco!

A garden view from the terrace? It was like having my own personal slice of paradise. I could sit back, relax, and pretend I was in the lush jungles of Bali, even though I was just steps away from the bustling city of Ubud. It was pure bliss.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Gedong Bali Family Homestay. the location was perfect, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the Monkey Forest. We felt safe and comfortable as solo female travelers, thanks to the secure compound. the owners and their family were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. the homestay was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and we loved staying in their beautiful and original home. the added bonus of a swimming pool at their hotel down the road was delightful. We would definitely come back to this homestay, it made our time in Bali truly memorable.

Terrace with Garden View: I loved to spend my afternoons sitting on the terrace, surrounded by beautiful flowers and greenery, feeling like I was in my own secret garden. It was so peaceful and relaxing, a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
